“God is calling you to do incredible things.”  “The way you lived your life is (OVER)!  You’re a new creation!”  “(Insert Name), you are going to reach beyond your campus and community; you will touch the nations.”  “(Insert Name), you’re different.  There is a special anointing on your life; you may not recognize it just yet, but your voice will be heard.  It’s inevitable.”

Have you ever heard something similar spoken over you or about you?  Maybe it was a pastor or youth leader or maybe even you heard God speak something similar to your heart and soul?  I have.  In fact, I have had many great things prayed over me and/or spoken directly to me, and then I too have given prophetic promises such as those mentioned above to others in my life.  The funny thing is the hardest person to convince these promises are true is myself.  

I guess the reason is just that there are so many justifiable excuses.  How could it be that I would change my campus when my circle of influence is a mere handful?  How is it that God is going to use my voice to reach people I’ve never even spoken to?  And, why would God use ordinary me to open a door to the broken people of a lost nation?

Maybe you have asked yourself and God the same questions, and I give it to you; many times prophetic promises don’t make since.  Unfortunately and fortunately, not everything in God’s word can be explained nor justified.  The good news is that throughout scripture God continually used ordinary people with ordinary things to accomplish extraordinary results.  There is no doubt in our minds, that every single student who walks into NOW Camp this year, will walk away with a realization that God has an extraordinary plan for their ordinary life!
